What does a Head of Collections do?

  • Maximises the effectiveness and efficiency of the Collections function;
  • Holds responsibility for ensuring that all Collections and Recoveries activities meet regulatory requirements and customer needs;
  • Alongside Collections Managers and/or Team Leaders, monitors staff efficiency and quality of customer care, identifying any training needs;
  • Is the point of contact for Collections enquiries from senior management and the board, representing the Collections function at meetings.
