Kind Group returns to Brindleyplace Dragonboat 2018 for Cure Leukemia

We’re very pleased to announce that we are now officially confirmed to be returning to defend our title at Brindleyplace Dragonboat Race 2018 after our victory last year. On Saturday the 16th of June, a team made up of representatives from across the Kind Group will once again join forces to row for a good cause, Cure Leukemia, based here in Birmingham and doing revolutionary work at the very forefront of the fight to cure blood cancer.

In 2017, Team “Kind of a New Hope” came from a galaxy far far away to win the entire event and raise a lot of money. This year, the Kind Group are donning their best wizard’s robes and signing up for Advanced Dragon(boat) Studies at Hogwarts – and coming to defend their title, now as “Team JK Rowing” (get it? That took us ages). The team at Brindleyplace work hard to make it a great day out with food and entertainment (beyond the entertainment of Kind’s finest in silly costumes) so come and cheer us on, it promises to be an unforgettable day for everyone involved.

While the race is good fun and we do hope we can match our performance from last year, what’s really important here is Cure Leukaemia. They do fantastic, vital work that we’re very proud to be able to help, and we hope you’ll donate to enable them to continue working towards ending blood cancer for good. We’ll be making a lot more noise about this between now and the big day, but you can donate right now over on our official JustGiving page.
