Kind Consultancy is working with a fast-growing, already successful FinTech business which is now seeking a Senior Operations Manager to oversee their Commercial Banking team. This is a full-time permanent role based in their Buckinghamshire offices, requiring 2 in-office days per week.

The Senior Operations Manager will provide senior oversight for the pre and post-completion activity related to the Commercial Banking business. This is an opportunity to build a strategy to help support further growth in one of the UK’s most exciting Financial Services brands. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ownership of the operational teams that support Commercial Mortgages pre completion, post completion and securities
  • Driving a culture of excellence – optimising our proposition through great process and great people
  • Working closely with Product teams and stakeholders to digitalise and improve the customer journey (across both Broker and Direct)
  • Supplier management – including ownership of relationships with legal and valuation partners
  • Ownership and continuous improvement of processes and procedures within the teams
  • Ensuring the effective day to day running of teams and capacity planning
  • Supporting issue resolution and root cause analysis
  • Ensuring (and exceeding) service level agreements and adherence to regulatory timelines
  • Effective and engaging team leadership; including recruitment, training and development and performance management

Our ideal candidate for the Senio Operations Manager opportunity:

  • Is an experienced Operations Manager with an in-depth knowledge of the financial industry and specifically Commercial Banking and Commercial Mortgage products and processes
  • Has previously led large teams (25+) through change and is known for being a champion of customers and colleagues
  • Has operational transformation experience, ideally having previously supported and implemented new procedures in a high-growth environment
  • Has a keen focus on root cause analysis and a track record of driving improvements
  • Possesses excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Is confident with communication, and able to make the complicated seem simple
  • Is able to balance big picture strategy and a hands-on approach
