Large Utility Business

Kind Consultancy is working with a large, well-established utility firm which is currently seeking university graduates to join them on a 6-month placement, paying £130 per/day. There will be possibilities for progression at the end of the six months, and you will receive full training to enable you to deliver first-class customer service. Training will take place in their Cardiff offices, and the rest of the placement will have a hybrid or remote work model.

The Graduate Customer Service Advisors will focus on communicating with customers via phone, e-mail, text message, letters and social media, with key responsibilities including:

  • Positively and caringly resolving customer issues
  • Listening to customers’ problems and queries
  • Working in a close-knit team
  • Utilising language, tone and empathy to ensure customers feel heard and understood
  • Identifying signs of vulnerability, offering support and signposting where possible
  • Using problem-solving skills and a right-first-time approach to deliver the best outcome for the customer

For the Graduate Customer Service Advisor opportunity, we’re looking for applications from recent university graduates who:

  • Are IT literate and able to quickly pick up new systems and software
  • Are friendly and positive, with an excellent telephone manner
  • Are honest and professional
  • Are good problem-solvers and confident decision-makers
  • Have strong communication skills – both written and spoken
  • Are open to feedback and eager to improve and learn new skills
  • Are confident with numbers and able to explain what they mean
  • Have consistently excellent attention to detail
  • Having past Customer Service experience and speaking Welsh would be desirable but are not essential
