Kind Consultancy is exclusively supporting an international firm’s FCA regulated subsidiary with the expansion of their compliance team. Our client is a long-standing firm, with business operations in over 130 countries across the globe.

As part of this recruitment, we are looking for a Compliance Analyst to join them in a full-time, permanent role based in their Northamptonshire office.

Your role will be to support the Compliance department with analysing key data information points reported to the regulatory bodies, drawing conclusions and tends as to whether business activities align with regulatory obligations. This role will involve analysis of data sets in relation to sales and collections activities, 1st line assurance activities, and complaint volumes and types. It will also require the product of MI to support the work undertaken by the Compliance department.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Using data mining to extract information from data sets and identify correlations and patterns.
  • Organising and transforming information into comprehensible structures.
  • Using data to identify trends in the lending and collections activities as they relate to the regulatory requirements in these areas.
  • Performing statistical analysis of data.
  • Using tools and techniques to visualise data in easy-to-understand formats, such as diagrams and graphs.
  • Preparing reports and presenting these to management or other key stakeholders.
  • Monitoring and championing high data quality and removing corrupt data.
  • Communicating with stakeholders to understand data content and business requirements.
  • Monitor the performance of the compliance assurance programme and recommend appropriate steps to improve its ongoing effectiveness.
  • Recommend corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues.

What We Are Looking For

  • For this role, we are looking for somebody with experience in Credit Risk Analysis or Data Analysis within the Financial Services, ideally with at least 2 years of experience in this area. Ideally this will be within Consumer Credit however we are open to considering other workstreams within the Financial Services.
  • You will have the ability to pay close attention to detail when working with data to make accurate conclusions and predictions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively share findings with shareholders.
  • Strong IT & mathematical skills – ideally you will have a degree or similar qualification in a field such as maths, statistics, or computer engineering however this is not by any means an essential requirement.
  • IT skills should include use of Python, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Business Objects and Microsoft Office 365. Tableau experience would be ideal.
